"View of Milan Duomo and Palazzo Reale, 1808 "
This print, by Galliari, Bosio, and Bellemo, shows the Cathedral at the beginning of the 19th century.
The most notable difference with the current Duomo is the almost total absence of the spires, which
today are one of its most distinctive aspects. In fact, the majority of the spires were made in the 19th century, during a period in which construction work, involving both the roof and the façade, resumed with fervour.
The superimposed title is strange as it denotes a error by the printer while setting the matrix.
