"Plan for Milan Duomo façade by Giuseppe Pollack, 1806"

The drawing represents a plan for the façade of Milan Duomo designed by the architect Giuseppe Pollack. On the right-hand side, the façade as it was in 1806: the portals and windows made in the 16th century can be seen below, while the upper part shows the section still missing the marble cladding. On the left-hand side, the architect presents his proposal for the completion of the façade, where he integrates the 16th-century section with gothic elements that characterise the remaining architecture of the Cathedral.
